Brought to you by CU's Sculpture 2 class- spring 2010

WELDING!! This project was a lot of fun for me. We had to create a skeleton out of metal and have a skin covering it. I chose saran wrap for my skin and also put it all over in the class room. Second INSTILLATION! this is what I came up with.

For this project I made a wire sphere and then wired in hundreds of sticks. I used over 200 feet of steel wire just attaching the sticks. I had to pull an all-nighter to complete this one. I then hung it from a chain and put a light in it.

The first two photos below are of the "sketches" I made before I started this piece.

Here is the actual piece.

This was from my mold making project. The birds are made of wax and for my display I hung up ten of them up in an underpass. The one thing I didn't think of was bikers going past at very high speeds..one guy's head was with in a few inches of a bird, so glad he didn't hit any of them. After hanging them up, I photographed them as best as I could and printed the photos on rice paper which I then dipped in wax and made into a book. FIRST INSTILLATION
