some more crazy bracelets

Other new favorite! This is actually brass, but from the soldering and pickling the metal turned pinkish. So I sanded off some of it then textured them lightly with my round nosed hammer, oxidized them, and re-sanded them. Then I bailed on a Mookite Jasper stone and putt on a brass clasp.

These bangles are both made with oxidized thick gauge copper and brass wire. The reason they both look so different is because they both reacted differently to the oxidization.

This is made with oxidized brass wrapped links, brass wire and clasp, and turquoise beads.

CRAZY little earings

The earings here are made with gold fill studs, chain and wire with garnet droplets hanging from them.

These Sterling earings I found in a thrift store and all I actually did to them was hammer them for texture and hang three little fresh water pearls from each.

This particular pair of earings includes three white feathers, two purple crystals, copper wire, and sterling chain and ear hooks.

The SHINY little things

This piece is one of the few that I think looks, well...not that great until someone is wearing it. Also I did NOT put the designs on the brass disc, I bought a small piece of sheet metal that had that floral design stamped on it. The chain, wire, clasp and round beads are all sterling, and the stone is actually topaz.

THESE are some of my FavOriTes. All of the little discs I made and gave a hammered texture and remind me of buried treasures!!!

This one is made of all sterling! Sterling discs, chain, clasp, and wire, along with five citrine and many garnets. I also oxidized this piece, it was way to shiny before.

This piece is made with brass discs, brass wire, sterling chain and many more garnets that I bailed together with the wire. I like this piece more than the one above even though it apparently looks Indian, guess I like Indian jewelry!

My EPIC work space

Here I am on the floor of my bedroom working, my hips and knees and back get very angry. BUT I'm psyched to make stuff!! And here are some of the little brass discs that I was working on for a future project.

some Ridiculous Rings and Wonderful Bracelets

Here are two very simple rings, the first consisting of oxidized brass and a shell bead while the other is just formed and soldered square sterling wire.

Some not so simple rings:
The first is a hollow form dome made of sheet brass and silver, which is soldered onto brass and then was SUPPOSED to be soldered on a silver band, but is not. Got the silver off of ebay and it ended up that it is sterling plated copper wire, so when I went to sand and polish the band it became more and more coppery looking. I'm supper bummed.

This ring was formed from all sheet brass and was soldered together to form this crazy design which I like greatly surprisingly enough. The coloration on the cylinder on the top of the ring is just the fire scale from the torch (from the soldering process) which I didn't clean off.

All my bracelets end up being sized for small wrists because I've been sizing them off of my child sized wrist, BUT I do try to make them larger...I've just been failing lately.

BRACELET #1 is made of sterling wire formed into diamond shaped links and has a light hammered texture and is slightly oxidized.

BRACELET #2 is actually made of copper disks and a copper clasp which is highly oxidized so that it is sort of a blackish color which I like better than copper. This will also help prevent the copper from changing the color of the wearer's wrist. Copper on some, will change there skin greenish, just where the jewelry is laying, but it completely depends on the person.

STAINED GLASS

Finally finished my project! I like it and soon I get to start the intermediate class!

wire, wire and MORE wire

I've still been twisting brass wire and making links!! Then, of course, I oxidize all of them!!!

I've just completed these two necklaces, both very similar and have a single jade tear drop bead, but one has two more links per side. I reduced the number of links on the second one I made because they were too high up on my neck when I tried it on and felt scratchy, but reducing the links fixed the problem.

These are my small to large necklaces as I call them for obvious reasons. They are both made with oxidized and twisted brass and copper wire along with brass chain and brass clasps. The first one has three turquoise beads on either sides and the other has one African opal on both sides. I LOVE THESE

Here is a lovely festive piece with the same twisted brass links and red jasper stones!

This is made of brass wire and chain with complementing turquoise beads(which are color enhanced), 15 to be exact!

This one is made of oxidized brass chain and wire along with four large, red, coral beads. I like how festive this piece is, it seems like it is made to wear to a Thanksgiving feast.

Here is a sweat bracelet with a button clasp! Same twisted and oxidized brass wire.

This piece includes two large, red carnelian stones attached at the top of both ends of the brass wrapped links, and two little, clear quartz beads that are attached right at the base of the clasp. This piece has and elegant along with foreign feel, possibly African??

I FIXED IT!!! I replaced the large, and rough chain on the back of the necklace for a simple and delicate brass chain which I doubled up, and it STILL LOOKS GOOD :)possibly even better. Created with oxidized brass and copper wire wrapped links with polished turquoise beads. This took an unbelievable amount of time to make!! HERE IS A PHOTO OF THE NEW AND IMPROVED !!!

all the LITTLE CERAMIC pieces

I've been hanging on to these ceramic peices for years until the day that I came up with something worth while to do with them, and now I have! I had to drill the holes and grind down the edges on all of the ceramic pieces which was quite time consuming.

This is my favorite ceramic piece which I hung off of an old vintage, gold chain with 14k gold fill wire.

This tile is one of my favorites! I hung it from a sterling chain with sterling wire and a little pinkish crystal. All of the sterling has been oxidized.

This piece is a lot larger than the others, around 1.5 X 2 inches, and is hung from two spots on the tile. I hung it off of oxidized brass chain, brass wire and three little brass beads (two near the tile and one at the clasp).

This is a little, light blue tile that I wrapped with copper wire and hung on a brass chain with a brass wire clasp (all metal is oxidized).

Here is a little ceramic piece that probably used to belong to a plate. I hung it from a simple gold chain using 14k gold fill wire. SOLD

Some Sterling /Jade Pendants and a random Bailing Piece

This leaf is from a lost-wax casting I did in high school, and is made of sterling and is hanging off of a piece of forest green, cotton cord.

FIXED! Here is a tear drop shaped cut of jade hanging on a gold chain with one other gold chain attached at a lower level. To connect the different chains together I used 14k gold fill chain and two tiny peridot beads. The one problem with this piece is that it tangles very easily, but I shortened the chain length and took off one chain so it is much better at hanging properly.

SOLD SOLD SOLD SOLD :)

This is actually made from this clay called PMC-precious metal clay, and you actually roll the clay out and push a pattern into it and cut out whatever shape you want and a hole to in order to hang it. After that you just heat it up with a torch (bake it) until it is glowing red and it is done! I just hung this piece from two strands of cotton cord.

This piece was made with silver that I then reticulated and added a peridot cabochon and two little peridot beads to connect it to a simple sterling chain.

This piece looks way better than this photo displays it. It is made of brass and copper wire and a brass chain and clasp. I believe the stone beads are mother of pearl and actually don't know what the green stone is yet, but it could possibly be Green Amethyst or some type of quarts.
